The new Air France First Class product creates an almost ‘Zen-like’ ambience – a sophisticated environment that draws on furniture more commonly found in homes and boutique hotels.

The design called for the effect of contemporary furniture – achieved through the use of simulated wood and tan leather, creating a sophisticated and chic feel. But as important as what you can see, is what you can’t see. There are no latches or locks visible, no plugs or sockets to interrupt the elegant simplicity of the design; no TV monitor or headphones on display. Contour has hidden these elements away; available when needed, discreetly stowed when not – a considerable engineering challenge, but crucial to the aesthetic of the final product.
